Things To Do

Concours de la Chapelle
Classic European Car Show –

The last weekend of every August, Chapelle de L’Artiste is transformed into a magical wonderland for those who appreciate classic European cars, fine art, fabulous food and live entertainment.

The British-racing green and ballerina pink flags lining the drive suggest the source of inspiration for this magnificent evening. A benefit for Northern California Ballet, the first Concours de la Chapelle was held in 2009 and has since become one of the regions’ premiere events.

Imagine strolling through picturesque grounds on a lovely summer evening amidst beautiful classic cars. The strains of a jazz saxophone floats through the air as you cross the bridge to the pond’s island for a perfectly prepared martini or a glass of fine wine. Glass in hand, you wander past gorgeously costumed ballerinas to explore pathways leading to more live entertainment in the Cave, or past Chapelle’s namesake chapel to view stunning local art in the Barn.

As the aroma of fine food wafts toward you, you make your way up to the Pavilion for a bite to eat and find a seat just in time to be entertained with a live show under the stars.
You’ll be talking about this delightful summer evening and making plans with friends to return next year!
